I have begun to take more interest in my photography skills, I frequently take photos but have notice my photography is missing attention to detail. I have not been practicing the detailed skills of photography. So I decided to take a more in depth approach to my photography. To start, I enroll in Zun Lee’s Street Photography course on SkillShare. The course covered approaching strangers for street photography. I thought this would be a great opportunity for me to practice my skills, in a situation where I am usually nervous. Luckily SXSW was coming up right around the time I enrolled in the course. So I picked up my camera, packed my backpack and hop a bus downtown.
For the most part I did well in remembering to adjust my settings appropriately but I still need a bit of practice. I met some pretty great people and really appreciated their cooperation. I gave my card and ask them to get in contact so I could send them a copy of their photo. After a few weeks of not one person contacting me, I realized that in the future, I might need to explain that it would be free!
Here are a few of my favorite shots, the rest of the images can be found in the Photography section of the blog site!
